When should I pay for the conference?
Emap's payment terms are:
- If booking is made 31+ days away from event full and cleared payment is due 30 days from invoice date
- If booking is made 30 days or less from event full and cleared payment is due immediately
Our credit control team follow up on all outstanding amounts as they become due.
If full and cleared payment has not been received prior to the invoice due date, or if no invoice was requested by the event start date then, at our discretion, you may be asked to make payment using a credit card on the day.
Once your booking has been received you are liable for all outstanding payments for your delegate place Therefore non-attendance at an event still incurs the fees owed.
When will I receive confirmation that I am registered?
You will receive a confirmation via email within 24 hours of receipt of your registration.
Does my registration fee include accommodation?
Unfortunately accommodation is not included in the booking fee. However, special rates are available through Venuesearch on 020 8541 5656, fax 020 8547 3427 or email beds@venuesearch.co.uk and quote the conference code.
What does the conference fee include?
The conference fee covers entrance to the Challenge, available papers, coffee/refreshment breaks, dinner, awards ceremony and feedback.
What is your cancellation policy?
If written notice of cancellation is received up to 31 days before the Event start date a credit voucher for the full payment will be issued, valid until October 2011, for part or full payment for the LGC Challenge 2011. Alternatively, on your written request, we will refund 50% of the price of the team place. Regrettably no refunds/credit vouchers will be made for cancellations received 30 or fewer days before the Event start date or for non-attendance.
We shall not be liable to you for travel, accommodation or other costs if we are required to cancel the Event as a result of an event outside our control (including, without limitation, to acts of God, floods, lightning, storm, fire, explosion, war, military operations, acts of terrorism or threats of any such acts, any strike action, lock-outs or other industrial action and a pandemic, epidemic or other widespread illness). 15. All unpaid invoices remain due if we cancel the Event for any reason. Except as set out in Condition 13, we do not under any circumstances give refunds for delegate places, although we may where we deem it appropriate offer credit vouchers.
The programme seems to have changed from the time I booked. Can I get a refund?
We put our programmes together through extensive and on-going research in order to offer you the most up-to-date and relevant programme we can. We recruit speakers dependent on that programme. This does mean that our programmes may change and evolve over the duration of our campaign. Other times it may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances to alter the programme, venue and speakers and Emap reserves the right to do so. Regrettably this means that no refunds or credits can be issued in line with our cancellation policy.

How can I sponsor or exhibit at an event?
